Our Grands ‘n’ More Winnipeg Online Store can be used for Scarves for Bear Clan (winter months), memberships and a few other selected item.


Scarves for Bear Clan

Background:  As part of its community patrols, and as one of the ways it supports the residents they meet, the Bear Clan hands-out warm clothing.

To assist that effort, Grands’n’More and other volunteers knit/crochet scarves, which are warm and practical.

Donors then give money (note that anything $20.00 or more is eligible for an SLF tax receipt), and the warm items are delivered to Bear Clan patrols.  That means the maker has the joy of creation, the donor is generous, the Bear Clan has warmth to share, and the sub-Saharan African grandmothers receive the funds.

Contact us if you wish to provide items, and/or wish to donate such items.  We collect scarves year-round; distribution happens during the cold months.
