On November 4, 2017, Powered by Love: A Grandmothers’ Movement to End AIDS in Africa was launched at McNally Robinson Booksellers. In attendance were African Grandmothers Gladys Mayaba and Daisy Mapheele of Grandmothers Against Poverty and AIDS (GAPA) Cape Town, South Africa, SLF staff members Jonea Agwa (Grandmother Campaign Officer for the Manitoba Region) and Ida Nambeya Mukuka of Zambia (Senior Advisor to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign) and Joanna Henry, the book’s author.
